Go Mad!

Go Mad!

We had an excellent Summer Holiday Activity Week at Grove C of E Primary School from 9-13 August. Go Mad! looked at famous bible stories exploring some ways we can make a differnce in our world.

Monday: Noah goes bananas!

After Noah left the ark God promised never to flood the whole earth again but today there are many areas where having too much or too little water is a big problem.

Tuesday: Joseph in dreamland

Joseph used his ability to interpret dreams to help Egypt plan for when famine came. Around the world today not having enough food is a big problem for many people.

Wednesday: Esther, are you mad?

People thought Esther was mad to go to the king with a request but it prevented her people being attacked. Today we hear about conflict in the news every day - from knife attacks to war.

Thursday: Two friends go loopy

Crowds were amazed when a man was lowered through a hole in a roof so Jesus could heal him. We have good access to doctors but in many parts of the world people cannot get even simple treatment we take for granted.

Friday: A load of gobbledegook

Some people thought Jesus' disciples had been drinking and were talking nonsense at the festival but God had appeared and changed their lives in a dramatic way. Across the world people are trying to bring hope and change where things look bad.

During a week of exploring these bible stories through art, crafts, games, drama and singing we asked: What can we do to make a difference?
